GB Railfreight begins moving mail by rail on Monday 29 November.

The first moves - with GB Railfreight train managers driving Royal Mail class 325 units - will be a 1530 from Shieldmuir Royal Mail terminal to Princess Royal Distribution Centre at Willesden via Warrington Royal Mail Terminal and a 1544 from Willesden to Shieldmuir, also via Warrington.

GBRf will introduce a second service from 6 December. This will be a 1030 from Shieldmuir to Willesden and a 1040 from Willesden to Shieldmuir. Both
call at Warrington.

All of the above will run Monday to Friday until 22 December. Services are expected to resume on 10 January, although GBRf is ready to run additional
services between Christmas and the New Year should the need arise.

Two class 87 locomotives will be on standby and manned when the services are running. 87013 will be at Warrington while 87014 will be at Willesden.
